KFP - The Hardcore Do Understand - Chp5
Twenty years passed and a much stronger and completely apathetic Tigress could be found still training among the white ironwood trees. She finished a rather nasty blow to one of the lower branches, and sliced it clean off with a single paw. She hummed in a bemused way as she checked her paw. She hadn't felt a thing.
"Tigress!"
Tigress looked up from her musings and turned to see Monkey, a fellow student, approaching her from the palace.
"Tigress!" he repeated, "Gorilla bandits! In the village! Master Shifu wants our help!"
"Finally," she murmured.
Tigress had spent months, if not years, trying to convince Master Shifu to let her help him

Shifu took her to the Jade Palace, in the Valley of Peace, which sat at the foot of the mountains. There, he trained her in the art of kung fu, and was known to her as Master Shifu.
The Jade Palace was a beautiful place. She had a good bed, three meals a day and the palace guards were all very friendly and supportive, but most of all, she loved her training. Tigress spent months of hard work, aiming towards being the best kung fu master in all the land. But above all, she aspired to please Master Shifu. However, as Summer began to fade, she began to realise that Master Shifu was not as loving or caring as she had first thought him to be. In

Tigress was kept locked in her room for many weeks. The only time she had any social contact was when a plate of food was slipped through a specially-made slot in her door, or by listening with her ear hard against the wood to whispered conversations as people passed her room (they would only whisper whenever they came anywhere near her room).
From her eavesdropping she learned that most had forgotten what she had looked like, what her name was and whether she was a boy or a girl. Some people had even stopped believing she existed, especially the newcomers to the orphanage, a myth created by the staff to stop the children from wandering arou

Bao Gu Orphanage was once a happy place. Then one evening a strong yak from a nearby village dropped off a covered cage. He paid the owner of the orphanage to keep it. Of course, the young sheep did not know what she was getting herself into. With the help of some of the older children, she carried it inside and out of the dry wind. The children enthusiastically whipped off the cloth of their new present, but they all jumped back in shock. At the very back of the cage snarled a very angry little tiger cub. The children screamed and ran away from fright, but the sheep collected herself and drew some courage.
"Little one, what is your name?"

"Hǔ! Run!"
Tigress jumped over a couple of food baskets and through a stall selling paper kites. She spun around to see her little brother, Hǔ, waddling as fast as he could through the legs of sheep, goats and other surprised shoppers in the Baotou market. Chasing him from behind were two fat rhinos wielding axe blades.
"Hurry up, Hǔ!" she growled
"Wait!" he cried, frightened
But he skidded to a halt when another guard, a yak, barred the way to his sister. The two rhinos came wheezing to a stop. Three sharp edges pointed directly at him. Hǔ started to hyperventilate. His golden eyes glanced frantically around, his mout
The mystery of the Mill Street Murder has been solved. London's Detective Inspector Lestrade and our very own Detective Inspector Gray have successfully unravelled the mysterious events of the Luton Hardware Store homicide that occurred early Sunday morning. I threw the newspaper down. The paper slid across the breakfast table; exposing the headline "Gray Saves the Day". The article itself went on to say how wonderful I ha
I am here
Waiting for you
You, my wife
My wonder
My life
Looking up at the dark sky
Watching the stars change
Night by night
I see naught but you
You, my light
Centuries go by
Wars rage past
I stand in golden plates
With silver sword and sharpened spear
I stave off enemy eyes and hands
Of fire, blood and tears
Every time I push them off
They always find a way back
Waiting for the day I will
With enduring heart
Year by year
Because it is you
You, my dear
Two thousand years
It feels much longer
The burning hole in my
Chest kills me
Every day
But I would
Do it all
Again
Every hour
I would
Again
I am here

Sherlock stepped out of the carriage and was about to walk up the path towards the school when he cried out in shock. His blood froze and his heart nearly leapt out of his chest.
All Sherlock could do was gape, horrified, at the coldblooded and freakish creature that stood before him. Its daunting white eyes stared vacantly at Sherlock, who was starting to quiver.
The creature raised its ugly black head and unfurled huge leathery wings. Sherlock would have called it a horse if not for the obvious extra features and if it actually had flesh.
It looked as though the scaly skin was clinging to nothing but the creature's bizarre skeleton.
